Description
Egypt, under Roman rule, ca 1st century BCE/CE. Unusual plaster model of what I am calling a lion, but could also be a large dog - in the mastiff family. Perhaps created as a sculptor's model, the animal is looking right with well-formed facial features . Rare to find. Size: 2.5" H (6.4 cm)
