Yevgeniy Alexandrovich Solodilov Fedoskino Russian lacquer box. Solodilov is known for the correspondence of a subject with a box's shape and this is one of the most important elements in his production. This beautiful box is done in tones of yellow and green and depicts a masterfully painted woman in an iridescent dress holding an umbrella, beads of gold rain are scattered across the box and architectural elements along with landscape are painted to correspond with the box’s unique shape. It is signed and dated 1998 and bares the Fedoskino gold seal on the interior. (Approx. 1 ¼" x 2" x 3 ½"). From the collection of Eric Sinizer.
