Description
From the ancient Near East, Iran/Iraq, Luristan, ca. 800 to 600 BCE. This is a simple cast bronze standard of the classic Luristan style, with a long, bell-shaped end attached to a thin tube on a flaring disc. Size: 5.3" L x 1.4" W (13.5 cm x 3.6 cm).
Provenance: Ex-Estate of John Piscopo. Mr. Piscopo was one of the largest collectors of ancient weapons in the US with a collection that spanned all cultures, all ages.
