Description
Egypt, Old Kingdom, ca. 2400 BCE. This is a small alabaster mace head with an interesting, pot-like shape. One side has a thick, red patina. Comes with a marble stand. Size with stand: 4" H x 3-1/2" L x 2-1/2" W (10 cm x 9 cm x 6 cm).
Provenance: Ex-private Houston, TX collection acquired at auction or local gallery between 1982 and 1994.
