Description
19th century group photograph possibly including German Steel Tycoon Alfred Krupp (1812-1887) seated second from left. Krupp was also known as the "Cannon King" for his role in the production of modern steel cannons. Krupp also provided a majority of the steel rails used in Americas early railways. We believe this photograph may have been taken when Krupp made a trip to America in the Mid-19th Century. The photograph is framed in an attractive Victorian walnut & gesso eastlake style frame. The photograph measures 11" X 14" and the frame measures 20.5" X 23.5" Condition: the photograph has some foxing but is in overall good condition. Original frame has some very minor imperfections.
