Scarce Shenandoah Valley Glazed Redware Jar, Stamped "ISAAC GOOD*", Rockingham County, VA origin, fourth quarter 19th century, semi-ovoid jar with squared rim and heavily-tooled shoulder, the interior covered in a reddish-brown lead-and-manganese glaze, the exterior covered in a lead-based glaze with colorful red, orange, and green hues. Impressed with scarce maker's mark of Rockingham County, VA potter, Isaac Good, at shoulder, within a dashed border. Shallow chips and wear to rim. Typical minor base wear. Glazed interior and exterior survive in remarkable, essentially as-made condition. H 5 7/8".
