Hagenauer Werkstätte
The Hagenauer Werkstätte was established in 1898 by Carl Hagenauer (1871-1928) in Vienna. In the beginning, it focused on the production of classic Viennese bronzes. After the turn of the century, the design was based on the new art movement of Art Nouveau. In particular, the community of the Wiener Werkstätte along with Josef Hoffmann and Koloman Moser exerted a strong influence on the works of the Hagenauer Werkstätte. Furthermore, the family business was strongly coined by the sons Karl (1898-1956) and Franz (1906-1986). (cko)
