Description
A set of six Edwardian silver teaspoons each having scrolled terminal and vacant cartouche leading to the tapering stem, hallmarked Henry Mathews, Birmingham 1902. Together with a set of five George V silver handled butter knives, John Biggin, Sheffield 1919, and a cased set of six 1940’s silver teaspoons, Thomas Bradbury & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1944. Gross weighable silver excluding silver handled knives 3.55 ozt (110.6 grams).
Edwardian spoons displaying general tarnishing and rubbing commensurate with age and use, with some surface scratching and no personal engraving. Knives with light rubbing, knocks and minor scratches to silver handles, in associated case. Cased teaspoons displaying minor surface wear but generally good condition. Hallmarks throughout with light rubbing but still legible.
