Description
A large Egyptian faience Djed Pillar, Late Period, c. 664 – 332 BC, which represents the god Osiris, with sharp detail and central vertical plinth down the back. The glaze is now white with heavy deposits from resin. H: 3 7/8 in (9.8 cm). Intact, minor chip to one of the tiers. Ex New Jersey estate.
