Description
Lot of 2 mid to late 19th C. Meiji period Japanese carved ivory netsuke includes: artist signed 1 3/4" (height) x 1 1/2" (length) x 1" (width) seated elderly woman with washboard & 2" (height) x 1" (length) x 3/4" (width) standing Immortal, also included in this lot is a late 19th / early 20th C. Japanese carved wood 1" (height) x 1 1/4" (length) x 1 1/2" (width) netsuke in the form of a reclining child. CONDITION: Seated woman has seam crack on base. Immortal has been made into a sterling silver mount pin & has a chip at the top of his staff. Wood netsuke has loss to front of left foot. NO INTERNATIONAL OR CALIFORNIA SHIPPING. The ivory in this item complies with the Endangered Species Act 1973 which are currently the law in the United States. It is our opinion that this item was made before 1973 and that the ivory has not been altered and is legal to sell in the United States unless your state has additional restrictions.
Condition
Seated woman has seam crack on base. Immortal has been made into a sterling silver mount pin & has a chip at the top of his staff. Wood netsuke has loss to front of left foot.
