Lot of 3 mid to late 19th C. Meiji period Japanese carved ivory Okimono includes: 2" (height) x 3 3/4" (length) x 1 3/4" (width) Craftsman woodworker with wood plane; artist signed 2 1/2" (height) x 3" (length) x 2" (width) Craftsman bamboo worker; & 2 1/2" (height) x 2 1/2" (length) x 2" (width) Fish seller. CONDITION: Woodworker has loss on left & right side of floor & hoe. Bamboo worker has chips along edge of mat on backside, reglued front bamboo portion & is missing lid from box on right side. Fish seller has chipped fingers on right hand, section missing between basket & right foot, portion of left foot missing & seam cracks. NO INTERNATIONAL OR CALIFORNIA SHIPPING. The ivory in this item complies with the Endangered Species Act 1973 which are currently the law in the United States. It is our opinion that this item was made before 1973 and that the ivory has not been altered and is legal to sell in the United States unless your state has additional restrictions.
Condition
