AMERICAN, PROBABLY NEW ENGLAND, PAINT-DECORATED POPLAR DOME-TOP BOX, the hinged lid over a dovetailed case, retaining likely original iron lock, hasp, and paint-decorated surface featuring floral devices, swags, and tassels against a black ground. Discovered in New Hampshire. Circa 1820-1840. 10 1/2" H, 24" W, 12" D.
