Description
NEW ENGLAND PAINT-DECORATED PINE AND POPLAR DOME-TOP BOX, nailed construction, retaining original iron lockplate and hasp, brass bail handle, and yellow pinstripe decoration against a deep red ground. Discovered in Massachusetts. First quarter 19th century. 9" H, 20" L, 10 1/2" D.
Very good overall condition with minor to moderate wear and discoloration, heavier to top of lid.
