Chinese, 20th century. A palatial carved gesso over wood eight panel floor screen in four sections with continuous scene to front in greens, pinks, and yellows depicting a palace courtyard with many open gazebos filled with figures engaging in play and conversation with a continuous band of opposing green dragons bordering the scene, the upper quadrant of each panel with a fan form reserved on black and bearing a genre landscape scene with figures. The screen verso with a continuous composition of flowering branches with rocks and butterflies. Panels joined by brass hardware with removable pins. Height approximately 96". Each of the eight panels approximate width 18".
