As viewed under UV light in the opened frame: c. 10% to 13% overpainting mostly, but not exclusively, in the bottom third of the painting with the heaviest amount of overpainting occurring in the LR and LL corners and along the bottom edge - the largest area of overpainting of the before mentioned areas is in the LR corner where the signature fluoresces having been completely gone over; the canvas has been cut out of its stretcher bars and mounted to a masonite panel - hence the edges of the canvas have been reduced; as a result of the reduction of the edges of the painting, the edges of the painting are noticeably scraped from the lip of the frame which also covers up part of the signature; the period frame is chipped and shows wear.
