Description
A CHINESE FLAMBÉ GLAZED PEAR FORM VASE, 19TH CENTURY, the short cylindrical neck flaring to a globular body, the exterior covered overall in a densely crackled deep purplish red glaze suffused with lavender, violet, and neutral streaks reversing to a celadon green enameled interior, tapering down to a short slightly flared and rimmed foot reversing to an unglazed underside. Height: 15 3/4" Diameter: 10 3/4"
Condition
Porcelain and glaze in good condition, with no major apparent cracks or repairs. There are a number of small glaze losses on the mouth rim, normal chips on the foot, minor light surface scratches.
