Description
Chinese, 20th century. A horizontal format underglaze and overglaze hand painted porcelain plaque depicting the Sanxing deities Fu, Lu, and Shou (also Cai, Zi, and Shou), the three men standing in a landscape beside a tall knotty tree at right with hanging moss with each figure bearing traditional attributes: Shou at left holding a Peach of Immortality, Lu at center in the dress of a Mandarin and accompanied by a crane, and Fu at right holding one child and accompanied by a second child at right, the whole scene bordered by a band of underglaze blue leiwen or meandering key and to a simple stained wood frame. Overall (without brass hanging hardware) approximately 15" x 23.75". Sight size of porcelain 12.25" x 21".
