Datia, second half 18th century. A painting depicting a The Early Life Of Krishna from the Bhagavata Purana,depicting the ogre sent by Khamsa at Vrindavan, Sukadeva, the sage, reciting the purana in a pavilion to King Parikshit at the top, explanatory inscriptions in devanagari, gouache with gold on paper. mounted and framed . Size: 24.8 cm x 37.2 cm (9.76 inches x 14.64 inches). There are several other pages from the series in public and private collections.
