Description: Bronze sculpture of Hercules performing his sixth labor, destroying the Stymphalian Birds for Eurystheus. While there are many versions of this famous sculpture by Antoine Bourdelle. Dautrive made his depiction unique by distinctly paying special attention to the deployment of the body and muscle tension required by an archer, by highlighting the taught, sinewy musculature detailed in Hercules' upper chest.
History: Dautrive was a well known early 20th century artist and sculptor. A Panther he sculpted out of black marble in 1920's is a piece he is most noted for.
