Description: These four photographs are of various racing schooners, Notable among them are the two of "Rainbow" vs "Endeavor" in the 1934 America's Cup.
History: Rainbow was a 1930 yacht of the J Class and successful defender of the 1934 America's Cup. It was ordered by Harold Vanderbilt and designed by William Starling Burgess. Rainbow was scrapped in 1940. A replica, Rainbow, was built in the 2010s.
