Description
Description: A curved shaped oval brass tobacco box. Shaped to fit in your pocket. A hinged lid that allows the box to be opened 3/4 of the way. Lid is inscribed and decorated. Owner's name, "J. Thomas Pembroke Dock".
History: Tobacco tins were manufactured in only a small number of shapes and styles. Cylinders and boxes were used for tobacco sold in bulk, while smaller flat or concave tins were designed to be carried in a pocket.
