Description: Sixteen original and seldom encountered U.S. Army Regimental Flag Battle / Honor Streamers.Given the battle honors shown in this collection of streamers we can ascertain that the unit involved was a member unit of one of the U.S. Army groups that fought the Spanish and Cubans during the battle of Santiago, Cuba during the Spanish American War of 1895.The unit involved in these campaigns first accredited themselves at the ten named Campaigns fought during the American Civil War, then further acknowledging their battle prowess in Cuba, as well as during the First and Second World War's. All ten Civil War streamers (out of all 16) are in excellent condition while the Spanish American War ("Santiago") streamer, and a couple of the W.W. I examples are only partially whole. This damage being caused by age and the dyes used during the time period in which they were This damage is found on each of the World War I and single World War II streamers, with some being in more of a state of deterioriation than the others. This collection is still highly collectable and can be properly conserved when correctly framed by a professional framer. United States Military Battle Streamer/Honors are very rare to find outside their original military formations.
