Description: Red headed, canvas back, drake decoy. Carved in Westhampton, Long Island and survived "the great hurricane of 1938", and attributed to "Uncle Bruce," weight still attached to the underside of the decoy.
History: A severe hurricane hit Westhampton, Long Island in 1938 with 28 dead and 4 missing and a property loss of $2 million. Duck decoy attributed to "Uncle Bruce" and is claimed to have survived the hurricane according to writing on bottom.
