This lot consists of three Steiff bear editions that are dressed in outfits designed and manufactured by the designer Ralph Lauren. From 1991 through 2001, 19 versions of these "dressed to the nines" bears were produced as a result of this collaboration. The first bear is named Chairman 1. He is 43 cm, fully jointed, and made from blonde mohair. He wears a double-breasted suit, white shirt, and coordinating tie. He was produced in an edition size of 1,000 pieces in 1992. The second bear is named Russian Girl Bear. She is 35 cm, fully jointed, and made from blonde mohair. She wears a luxurious black and red coat with a matching hat and muff. She was produced in an edition size of 1,100 pieces in 1994. The third bear is named American Flag Bear. He is 35 cm, fully jointed, and made from blonde mohair. He wears a blue hand knit sweater featuring a flag and tiny denim dungarees. He was produced in an edition size of 3,500 pieces in 1993. Condition: As noted.
