RUSSIAN HAND PAINTED LACQUER BOXES, 3 PCS., H 1" - 2", W 4" - 7 1/2", D 4 3/8" - 6":Russian hand painted hinged lacquer boxes including one entitled: "The tale of Rusian and Ludmila" (2002), from the village of Palekh, 1" H. x 4" W. x 6" D. second box is oval in shape and entitled: "The Princess Frog" (2001), by the artist Elena Alekseevna Yevdokimova, from the village of Mstera (inscribed on the underside), 4" H. x 7 1/2' W. x 4 3/8" D. The third box depicts a shepherd playing a flute with cattle, by the artist Dogaden (English translation), from the village of Mstera, (c2000), 1 1/2" H. x 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" square. Marked with an archer inside a circle on the underside. Boxes made from Paper-mache, with egg-tempera and gold paint, and lacquer. Red lacquer interiors. All signed. 3 pcs.
