An oil on canvas original portrait of Mrs. Blodget and daughter, painted by Gilbert Stuart and presented through S. Neagle, to the Artists' Fund Society of Philadelphia by Issac P. Davis, Esq. of Boston, Mass.,
November 28th, 1838. Painted in Philadelphia soon after Mr. Stuarts arrival in the city. Sold through Sotheby's New York in 2000. 19 1/2" H x 21 3/4" W. Very good condition. Documentation on back (two hand written
inscriptions), artists plaque at front and additional plaque in bag on back, past Sothebys sale record.
