Description: An oil on canvas portrait from the 18th century depicting Mrs. Cockerell (née Jackson), the great-niece of the diarist Samuel Pepys. Fine quality and condition, signed, and displayed in a vintage gold-colored frame. Note: Portrait of Mrs. John Cockerell, born Frances Jackson, who was married to John Cockerell, son of John Cockerell Esq., of Bishop's Hull, Taunton, Somerset. Mrs. Cockerell was a great-niece of Samuel Pepys, the diarist. Measuring approximately 38" by 33" when framed.
