Kibi Daijin. Original woodblock print from the series Kokoku nijushiko („24 Outstanding Events in the Holy [Japanese] Empire“). Signature: Yoshitoshi. Seal: Taiso. Publisher: Matsuki Heikichi. Posthumous print. Very good print and colour, slight colour defect to Makibi's foot running to the lower rim. Kibi no Asomi Makibi (695 –775) was a Japanese scholar and noble during the Nara period. Also known as Kibi Daijin ("Minister Kibi").
