Description
Abraham Walkowitz (American, 1878-1965), "Houses at Sunset"-circa 1910, etching on paper, pencil signed lower right, verso of frame with affixed board with information denoting the work was from the Collection of Lucille & Walter Fillin, New York with stamp reading "NEW BRITAIN MUSEUM OF AMERICAN ART 'The Contemporaries... Reading?' February 14 thru March 21, 1976", also with circular white Christie's label (likely from their 1991 sale of the Fillin Collection). Print horizontally-aligned and depicting a cluster of homes with small wheelbarrow. Framed approximately 12.75" x 15.5". Sight size approximately 4.5" x 7.125". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Benno & Babette Rothschild, Columbus, Georgia.
