Description
Africa, Ethiopia, 17th or 18th century CE. This is a small ornate cross made of iron with linear and circular incised decorations. Used by clergy in the Ethiopian Orthodox and Catholic Churches. The Churches use a variant of the Coptic Rite. Size: 7.75" L x 2.6" W (19.7 cm x 6.6 cm).
