Complete set of sterling silver flatware by the prestigious English firm CJ Vander in what we believe is either Charles ii pattern or William & Mary pattern. This delicate pattern is a combination of the Trefid pattern and the Lace Back pattern. Both patterns were very much in vogue about 1680. The fine lace design is continued on the back of the spoon bowls, and the back of the prongs. This pattern is made by C.J. Vander of London. The service consists of : 12 Three tine dinner forks measuring 7 5/8 inches, 12 dinner knives 9 3/4 inches, 24 three tine salad 6 1/2 inches, / fish forks 6 1/2 inches, 12 oval soup spoons 7 inches, 24 tea spoons 5 8/2 inches, & five serving pieces , tablespoon 8 3/4 inches, cold meat fork 8 1/2 inches, pie server 9 5/8 inches, butter server 5 1/2 inches, 5 5/8 inches, & sugar spoon 5 5/8 inches. The set is in pristine condition & retails for about $30,000! there are 89 pieces in this service. The flatware set is ornate with very rare scrolls at the end of handle, the maker marks are under the handle in cartouche, the weight is very good.
