Jacques Villon (French, 1875-1963), "La Tête"-1958 from the suite "Poemes de ce Temps", color lithograph on paper, pencil signed lower right and noted as an artist's proof (documented as also having an edition of 70) in pencil lower left, published by Louis Broder, Paris, France. Abstract composition with rounded pink form with overlapping pink, blue and gold geometric forms within sketched lines. Framed approximately 19.75" x 15.75". Sight size approximately 6.25" x 4.9". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Benno & Babette Rothschild, Columbus, Georgia. Reference: Ginestet and Pouillon 105. Note: Jacques Villon was born Emile Méry Frédéric Gaston Duchamp and is referred to as Gaston Duchamp. He is the older brother of noted artists Marcel Duchamp, Raymond Duchamp-Villon, and Suzanne Duchamp-Crotti.
