Roman and Sassanian, ca. 250 to 400 CE. This is a collection of two bronze Roman hair pins and one Sasanian bronze guard for a knife in the shape of a duck. These make a complementary collection; during this period, Roman and Sassanian crafts influenced each other. Size of largest: 8"L (20.3 cm).
Provenance: Ex-Adeon Gallery, acquired before 1974
