Description
Europe, probably France or Germany, ca. 1760s CE. This is a carved wooden Cristo doll with glossy painted skin, lifelike glass eyes, real hair tightly curled onto the scalp, and silver armor-like outfit, sandals, and wristbands. The figure sits atop a silver-covered stand with one foot up and its arms raised in an animated pose. The face, in particular, is in excellent condition. Size: 3.75" L x 3.75" W x 8.5" H (9.5 cm x 9.5 cm x 21.6 cm).
