A beautiful yellow case is accented by maroon louvered grille and knobs. This model was a modernized and an extremely successful update from its predecessor. The design relates to the earlier wooden Gothic-style radios. The BT 245 Cathedral radios are very rare and desirable in all colors, the rarest being blue.
The condition of this radio is consistent with age and wear. The backplate is missing. It has not been tested for working order. The dimensions (height x length x depth) are 10 in x 7 in x 5 in; 25.4 cm x 17.8 cm x 12.7 cm.
Emerson Radio Corporation (1912)
Emerson began as manufacturers of phonographs and entered the radio business in 1924. Emerson introduced the first radio-phonograph combination in the United States. The company was known for their eight by six Inch “Peewee” radio that was widely successful.
