Monumental George III Mahogany Breakfront Bookcase, circa 1800, the molded, fluted and dentillated cornice of double breakfront-form and above a conforming case fitted with six astragal-glazed doors, the lower section fitted with six cupboard doors, each inset with a shaped panel, raised on a plinth base, h. 103", w. 133-1/2", d. 19".

In overall very good condition. The left side molding at the mid-section is broken and needs to be re-glued (the piece is present). The same mid-molding on the right side has been broken and glued back together. There is a small chunk gone along the glue seam. Minor dings and imperfections to the base molding and edges consistent with age and use. All of the glass panes appear fine with no cracked or missing glass. Good, rich color and patina to the finish. Retains several original working keys. Comes apart in nine sections.
