Wide, curved, single -and false-edged, damask blade; one side chiselled, engraved and partially gilt at the base, with the effigy of mythical characters, elephants, lions and floral decorations, on the remaining length four parallel fullers and floral decorations; the other side is flat, with chiselled decorations at the base depicting a elephant, a horse, and Durga on the back of a tiger, with remains of decorations in gold depicting the same deity and a cartouche near the foible; big, tulvar-like iron hilt (a restoration at the base of the guard arms) with borders decorated with floral motifs in gold. Disc-shaped pommel. Sabres like this one were used both by Mahrattas and Raiputs. (Ewerton 398, 399, 534 T and page 105).
