Description
DESCRIPTION: William MacLean (American, 1897-1977). Etching on paper. "Sugar Brook." Framed, matted and signed. An Associated American Artists original etching. MacLean attended art school in Boston. He learned to love rural life. After a New England childhood, he bought a home in New Hope Pennsylvania and settled there to live and paint. He also created etchings of New England snow scenes, wintertime in Pennslyvania, and landscapes of Prince Edward Island in Canada. MEASUREMENTS: 9-3/4" x 12". Overall with frame: 19-1/2" x 15-5/8". CONDITION: Minor wear to frame including scratches and losses. Minor yellowing to paper.
