Description
DESCRIPTION: William H. Turner (American, 20th Century). Cold-painted bronze of a pair of puffins on a rock. Marked "W.H. Turner 21/50 1989" on rock near foot of larger puffin. Now a noted wildlife artist, Turner enrolled in dental school at age 30 and paid his tuition by selling ceramic and porcelain sculptures but gradually switched to bronzes. He and his son, David, are full-time sculptors and run Turner Sculptures with an on-site foundry in Virginia. MEASUREMENTS: 9-1/2" tall. CONDITION: Minimal patina to creases in feathers and crags in rocks.
