As a second-generation Pop artist, Donald Baechler collects pop images and objects and combines these images with his own uninhibited style of painting to create what he calls an “illusion of history.” Baechler's unique way of developing imagery has resulted in a cohesive body of work with a distinct sensibility reminiscent of children's drawings. His unique style reveals a universality in the visual ephemera of our common culture.
