The bread tray with repoussé reticulation throughout, scrolled handles, incredibly detailed depictions to reticulation of dragons, chrysanthemums, and bamboo stalks, central engraved cartouche PRESENTED TO HON. J.H. FESLER BY A FEW AMOY FRIENDS 1905, on cast scrolled feet.
Notes: J.H. Fesler served as the U.S. Consul in Amoy during the early 20th century. Xiamen, also historically known as Amoy, is a major city on the southeast coast of the People's Republic of China.
