Description
A beautiful Egyptian wood ushabti box panel, Late Period, c. 664 - 32 BC, depicting a kneeling woman wearing a tight-fitted gown, head band with long ties and jewelry, her features nicely rendered and her hands out before her. To left is a vertical register containing hieroglyphic text, a solid green band framed by black borders the top and sides, domed knob handle near the top. 15 1/2 in x 10 5/8 in (26.8 x 27 cm). Well-preserved with light deposits. Ex New Jersey estate.
