AN UNUSUAL CONTINENTAL CARVED WALNUT MUSIC CABINET, POSSIBLY ITALIAN, 19TH CENTURY, of rectangular form and centering hinged doors with arched rectangular molding enclosing nicely detailed ribbon tied musical trophies consisting of a ribbon tied violin and bugle opposite a ribbon tied cluster of horns and flutes in deep relief, within corner spandrels of paired exotic leaves and tapering berried clusters of leafy foliage enclosed by an ancient vine sculpted border with similarly carved berried leaf finials, surmounted by a conforming flowering truncated vine pendant, the cabinet raised on tall reticulated scrolling leaf and vine legs ending in stylized paw feet.
