Soft cover. 8" x 10 1/4" x 1 1/2", 285 pages. 183 illustrations in the text. Limited edition with original etching "Amphritite" as frontis. Edition size unstated but believed it to be 1200, this copy numbered 1003. Original pochoir card covers designed by the artist, having edge chips and tears, splits at spine. Pages are uncut and show toning around the edges as is typical for this book. Bookplate of Dr. Bockel inside front cover. Inscribed on free endpaper "a Madame Paul Weiss avec un voeux pour 1933, Raoul Dufy". Probably the wife of Prof. Paul Weiss of Yale (1901-2002). Contents very good.
