Albert Ernest Carrier Belluse (1824-1887) 3 Pc. figural bronze clock set. Standing figure of a woman “La Liseuse”, the figure leans against the clock tower and is reading a book, the tower has scrolled mounts and garland on the sides, hanging medallions, bronze bezel with beveled glass and mounted rosettes; nice 2 tone dore and nickel plated silver finish which shows typical wear from age, very fine quality. 4 in. rouge marble dial with applied gilt brass Roman hour numerals and brass hands; round brass spring driven 8 day movement signed “Lemerle Charpentier, F.ant De Bronzes, 127, Paris”, has half hour bell strike and patented lever in the back connected to a post in the dial with allows the pendulum to be started from the front without moving the clock patented by “E. Lourdelet”. With a matching pair of excellent quality 2 tone silvered & dore bronze side urns with round stepped marble bases, mythical horned faced handles and relief design with playful putti around the body of the vase.
