Pair of Hurley Bronze Seahorse candlesticks, the short version, originally designed and cast in 1905 by E.T. Hurley. This is the earliest dated example Hurley's bronze work that we are aware of although this set may have been made at a later date. Signed on the bottom E.T. Hurley Newport, KY 1905 with Newport being the location of the foundry that actually did the bronze castings. Hurley cleaned up the castings and applied the patination himself. Height of each is 6 5/8 inches. Excellent condition and great original patina with a little candle wax thrown in at no extra charge.
