Laura Saadati
In Chico, California, a young Laura Saadati lived in a community that never exposed her to tattoos; instead, her earliest artistic inspirations came from her childhood home which was full Iranian art and artifacts. Always drawing and painting, her creative urge was unstoppable. Often inspired by patterns, ornate designs, and images of beautiful women, her artwork has always been filled with emotional power, skill, and imagination. As an artist, Laura is most comfortable painting large-scale Expressionist oils. Her creative impulses stem from moody social realism, which rarely depicts the happier side of life. The music scene, specifically Punk Rock, was her first contact with body art. After receiving her first tattoo at age 18, Saadati decided to learn the art of tattooing and she has been working professionally for over 20 years. She is currently the co-owner of Music City Tattoo in Nashville, Tennessee.
