Description
Eugene Blot (French, 1830-1899), "Pecheur" and "Pecheuse de Crevettes", terracotta sculpture, incised signature on each naturalistic base. Companion figural sculptures of a fisherman and fisherwoman, each depicted standing on a rocky naturalistic base. Woman wearing cap, scarf and jacket, with hand on hip and opposite hand resting around pole. Man with arms cross in front of him, fur cap, and basket of fish at feet. Both with serious facial expressions and brown even patina. Female approximate height 10.5", width 4.125", depth 4". Male approximate height 11.125", width 4", depth 4.3".
