AUSTRIAN VIENNA PORCELAIN FINE CABINET VASE ON PLINTH, of ewer form with gilt foliate arched handle, the body painted with jewel tones in bands and decorated with raised paste gold foliate, geometric and "pearl" patterns, centering two finely-painted oval portraits of a young woman singing and a young woman playing a lute, symbolic of music, attached by a waisted ankle to a stepped square plinth, painted with gold paste in patterns, swans, and other motifs. Underglaze blue beehive mark, probably Vienna, possibly Dresden. Circa 1880-1900. 16 5/8" H.

Condition
Very good condition but for a restoration to the socle at the ankle, now overpainted.
