American Classical Mahogany Sofa, ca. 1825, Philadelphia, the carved crest over a cross-banded panel, with scroll arms and cornucopia-carved paw feet, h. 35", w. 85", d. 22-1/2".

Very good unrestored condition, retaining its dark original surface wiht normal mars, minor scrapes and normal indications of age and use. No losses or repairs to inlaid stringing noted. Tight and solid. upholstery in good condition. Casters not present. some small, typical nicks and abrasions to the edges of the carved surfaces.
